About Stichting Het Kruispunt Nijmegen

The Crossroads Foundation in Nijmegen believes that every person needs to be able to step out of a precarious situation for a while to feel free for that moment. Free from life on the street, free from a certain system or free from a difficult home situation.

We work from the presence approach. That means we start by listening to the story someone is telling. Listen to build meaningful relationships. We are not tied to the healthcare system, but we are connected to the healthcare system.

We are a walk-in for (ex) homeless people and we envision a community in which a lot is shared and in which no one is short of anything. The aim is to make our visitors feel at home. That is why we offer free coffee, tea, biscuits and meals. At important moments, such as holidays, birthdays and death, we are there for our visitors. We work from the Titus Brandsma chapel where we offer activities, conversations, a listening ear and above all a lot of fun.
