WANTED: WEB EDITOR
The Marikenhuis Nijmegen is a walk-in center and meeting center for anyone affected by cancer. The Marikenhuis is a professional volunteer organization and is looking for a volunteer to join our editorial team as an enthusiastic web editor. Web editing experience would be perfect, but not absolutely necessary. The most important thing is that you communicate the supplied texts and photo material clearly and comprehensibly to our target group via website and agenda statements. Sharing information via social media is recommended .
Explanation
• You contribute to the internal and external communication of the Marikenhuis, under the responsibility of the Marikenhuis information officer. The website lists all activities that are offered in the Marikenhuis, including a registration procedure. The web editor also makes an abbreviated agenda of the information on the website, for publication on the Marikenhuis website and on the digital agenda pages of various regional media.
• You create newsletters for guests, volunteers and external relations of the Marikenhuis together with other editors. Knowledge of Mailchimp is recommended. The information on the website and in newsletters is closely related. Content for this is supplied by coordinators of the activity groups and the board member with a focus on PR & Communication.
• Making simple flyers with information about the various activities can be part of the work, as well as making photo reports at various public activities and other events.
Experience in working with a Content Management System (CMS) is preferred. Now the website is made in Ionize, in a follow-up stage that will most likely be WordPress.
If you find one or more of the aforementioned tasks fun and challenging and if you feel like and have the time to participate in the communication/editing committee of the Marikenhuis, please contact Linda Poelmann:
